Virtual experience

Join us for an outstanding virtual experience for the 11th INTECOL Wetlands Conference accessible from anywhere in the world. All sessions will be available on demand in your time zone.

Amongst many other features, this is what you can experience virtually through the OnAir virtual platform:

Virtual sessions: As some of our talks are from overseas presenters, all presentations will be pre-recorded and streamed at the time of their presentation with interactions opportunities such as Q&A, live polls and discussion forums. Delegates will be able to take notes, export them and filter sessions. All sessions will be available on demand to suit your time zone so you can select what you attend and when. You will also have access to all sessions on demand post conference.

Exhibition area: as per a physical conference, sponsors will showcase their products and services at their booth in the exhibition area. Engage with them through video calls, live chat and Meeting hub. Download their brochures, flyers and videos.

Networking groups: specific virtual functions will be created to allow delegates to meet and exchange ideas.

e-Posters: abstract submitters will be able to download and present their posters in the virtual poster area. As per a physical meeting, participants can view presenter bios, click into a presentation of interest, download the handouts and chat with authors.

Live support: experiencing a technical issue with the platform? No worries, the Conference Innovators team will be connected all time during the conference hours to answer your questions and provide virtual presenters and attendees with technical support using live chat and video calls through the event.

If you will be joining the Conference from within your workplace, you will need to ensure that your workplace firewall does not block access to the streaming platforms of the sessions and networking functions. You should check access with your IT department as early as possible as it may take a few days or weeks for your request to be processed.

Below is a list of all the streaming platforms that will be used during the Conference. Your IT department will need to whitelist these services to enable you to have full access to everything within the platform.

  • Vimeo
  • Youtube
  • Vonage

Please note: If you are accessing the platform using Google Chrome, then you should experience no issues gaining access to the online conference portal from within your workplace. If the above sites are not whitelisted, then your organisation may block access to the streamed presentations and conference sessions and you will not be able to watch any of the sessions.
